b) A race is considered valid if the host's computer crashes after all competitors have rounded and passed the first mark. Passing the first mark means that a boat has rounded left the mark on the required side (leaving the mark: the mark is astern of the boat when the boat is her sailing proper course to the next mark).
c) Gates will be treated as a finish line; A boat finishes when any part of her hull, crew or equipment in normal position, crosses the finishing line from the course side. However, she has not finished if she has incurred a penalty and has failed to clear that penalty prior to reaching the gate. In such an event; said boat will finish 4 positions behind her actual position or no worse than 12th.
