How did it feel to be the Man of the Season 2?

 It felt like Survivor: Redemption Island. It was a good video game feeling.

 

 

What was your most memorable race in Season 2?

 I think it might have been when the entire Italian Team (Gormiteam) started hunting our Team in Race 1 and then quit for the second race, that was memorable and kind of fun in watching the chat wars in two languages.

 

 

What advice would you give to the new Teams in Season 3?

 Do not overweight the cover scenario and then sail bad tactically even though is it a "Team" race. If you have a good tactical edge or read on shifts, current and wind, play to that strength just as much as the cover scenario, and that will pay off for the Team results. Covering is good in general when you have a teammate that can benefit, and then just optimize your own sailing.

 

 

What you have to say about VSK TEAM LEAGUE? It's a good Event?

 I really enjoy the VSK Team League. It is just so refreshing to sail an event that does not have a huge administrative junta overbearing on the entire event, who then get all butt hurt if there is criticism or issues. (sound of a whip lach in the background ) In VSKTL, there is a total lack of a power posse, so that no Team or sailors are climbing over each other to position themselves with some authority figure or body. I haven't spent 2 seconds thinking about the VSKTL protest committee for instance.

 

 VSK event organizers really should just try to empower the sailors and the Team captains and let them get on with it. This event is pretty much left on the water and i respect VSK umpire and the sailors to be able to sort it and then leave it after the video game server closes. So it really is the cleanest form of drama free Team sailing then, not politicking or form filling. The 2 captains can organize the match with no nonsense about restarts for windoze updates or horseshit like that. I could write a book about this. Anyways, it is a very nice way to appreciate the VSK game and still provide good competition with yyour mates, and you can train up the less experienced players in this event without putting undue pressure on them. Truth.
