How did it feel to be the Man of the Season 4?

 Well, it made me happy, of course, for the evening because many good sailors took part.
Also important was that the club vskfun came back to attention for a moment...
Having won this gave us a little more success out of season 4... ;)
We'll be back stronger next time !
But I'm also very aware that the result of a one race final does depend on strategy as well as on a bit of luck. 

 

Tell us a little about you - Sailing, hobbies, where you from...?

 My name is Jochen, I'm from Hamburg, Germany. I started sailing on Daddys yacht as a kid, later on for many years in the Laser class
Unfortunately right now the next sailable water is hours away from where I live (Gütersloh). ;(

 

What you have to say about VSK TEAM LEAGUE?

 Is it a good event? Yes definately. The rule only to protest rule 2 makes it easy for a jury and sailors.
Nobody has to sit for days and days to clarify results. Might not be the most accurate way to do it, but it has the potential that you'll run this event for a long time.
Furthermore it's so well known in the vsk-world. I couldn't start in any  race after the final without gettig congratiolations from all over the place.
 

What was your first experience in vsk?

 I started playing a previous version, don't remember which. It was the one in which somebody who left the game DNF, left a wreck on the course, very funny.

 

How do you see yourself on the line between Achievers<--->Socializers?

 I'd like to say that I'm an "ambitioned sozializer". Winning is nice, yes, but what's better in this game than having a good laugh with your pals in teamspeak?
 

What you think that it would help newcomers stay with the game?

 A really fresh newbie uses a Nadeo skin. Being kicked out of a race without explanation doesn't encourage people. So a little hotkey comand by the hosts like " Pls. no Nadeo skins here, your sails are not transparent enough! Join a vsk-club, grab a proper skin and you are welcome back!" might help.

 Great job by all organizers of this event, very good webside, the map description is helpful.

Maybe you can increase the frequency of the TeamLeague seasons a bit? More races, more fun...
